Cleveland Marathon is Three Weeks Away - Enter to Win An Entry to The Race of Your Choice

I cannot believe it, but the Cleveland Marathon is three weeks from this Sunday! As I toe the line in Toledo, I will be trying to recover quickly to race strong in my hometown! If you have done this race before than you already will know the amazing energy that comes with this race. Cleveland people are very supportive of this race and line the streets to cheer on the runners!

Playhouse Square Chandelier!
The course was changed last year to incorporate much more of the westside and has changed again this year to make it even better as it now goes through Playhouse Square by the enormous new outdoor chandelier! I am looking forward to seeing this on my run along with the gorgeous views of our own Lake Erie and the Cleveland skyline!

The course is flat and fast and the weather is usually nice for the race. It has been a little warm once or twice so make sure you bring some salt tabs or electrolyte drink with you!

As an Official Cleveland Marathon Ambassador for 2015, I have a free entry to giveaway to the Cleveland Marathon race distance of your choice! You can use it for the 10K, Half Marathon or Marathon. All of the races are spectacular and sure to be fast and fun! To enter to win the entry, simply comment below on which race you want to do and why. A winner will be chosen early next week and announced here on my blog and social media channels by Monday afternoon! Goodluck!

  1. Hey Pam! Thanks for this opportunity! I would love to run the half at Cleveland this year. I have only ever run the 10K (twice) due to injuries early in the season. This year, I am healthy and trained to run 13.1 miles. I have always enjoyed the Cleveland atmosphere and want to see more of the course! And I want a bigger spinning guitar medal to add to my collection. :)

  2. Hi! The Cleveland half marathon has been on my list of "races to do" for a while, but I was scheduled to run Pittsburgh this year...until an autoimmune flare-up that's almost certainly going to keep me out of it now :( My body has finally let me train enough to be in top half marathon shape, and I want to use all that fitness for a race as soon as I'm able, which will be right before Cleveland time. I would be ecstatic to get out of Pittsburgh for the weekend to run the half marathon and stick around to see the city, and maybe even swing up to scope out the Challenge Cedar Point course while I'm at it!

  3. I'm interested in the 10K. I did the half last year and loved it, but I am just beginning to rebuilt from an injury. As much as I'd love to be ready for the half, I need to be smart about building slowly. Thank you for the chance to win an entry! The injury has really zapped my momentum, but running the 10K would give it a real boost!

  4. I would love to win an entry into the full marathon for my husband, Doug. I'm already signed up and would love to have him next to me. We've run 12 marathons together, including this year's Boston. Having him run alongside me for #13 in our hometown would be incredible! (Plus, it's his birthday, and I sorta didn't get him a present yet!) ;)

  5. Hi there, and thanks for the opportunity! I started running last June to begin living a healthy lifestyle for my wife and son. Almost a year and a few races later, I'm running my first ten-miler tomorrow and have a goal of running my first half-marathon sometime this year. My love for Cleveland is a crazy, absurd, over-the-top love and it would be awfully meaningful to reach that milestone in my home city. Thanks again for the opportunity! :)

  6. I would love to do the half. this past year has been such a struggle with a divorce, caring for 4 children and the added responsibilities that came after. I have to sacrifice coaching and racing to take care of other responsibilities. the CLE 10K was my very first race that opened the doors to running and triathlon. it would mean a lot to be on that course as the person I am now. it's really not about the medal to me, it's about pushing through those miles, leaving worries behind and finishing a little bit of a stronger person than you were before. thanks for this opportunity Pam.

  7. Last year's Cleveland half was my very first half-marathon ever. I was so scared of the distance, and I was still a pretty new runner. (Heck, I STILL feel like a noob!) But I did it, and finished with a time I was pretty happy with, and went on to run three more half-marathons last year. I'd love to get a chance to revisit this race, especially with the new route!

Thanks for offering this giveaway! Good luck on *your* upcoming race! :)

  9. I would love to run the half marathon for the camaraderie of running in such a large event. Being around other people who are in the thick of the race with you makes it that much more enjoyable.

  10. I would run the 10k or half. I have been cross training all winter with strength and weights. I love my new strength but I fear I won't be ready for the half running-wise. I did the half last year and loved it so much! The energy was amazing and the course was so beautiful. It really did Cleveland justice and I felt proud of my city! I can't wait to run the race this year (if I win) or come down and be a spectator and supporter to everyone running! What an amazing giveaway. Thanks!

  11. Hi Pam! I would love to run the full marathon in Cleveland with my daughter Jennifer, who is already signed up. I am originally from Northeast Ohio but have been living and working overseas for several years. I return to Ohio usually about two times each year and on one trip home two years ago my daughter and I ran our first full marathon together in Cleveland. It was an awesome experience to share that with my daughter. Now, as I continue to live out of the country, my daughter and I chat nearly every day about our training experiences and all the pains, minor upsets, and also the joys that come with it. I am planning a return trip to Ohio some time in May and winning an entry to the Cleveland Marathon would seal my dates and my daughter would be so surprised! Sure would appreciate your help to bring a father daughter team back together to cross the line hand in hand in our hometown at the 2015 Cleveland Marathon! :-)
